Arthun Ranch Rub

Here is a recipe from Arthun Ranch in Montana, from my friend Mark Arthun, who recently taught a class with me about grilling beef. We used this dry rub on tri-tip, and it was superb!

Ranch Rub

1 ½ teaspoons garlic salt

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon celery seed

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

¼ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon dried dill

Sear the tri tip over high heat, remove the meat, cool the grill, cook it for 20 more minutes over low heat, and then let it rest 10 minutes.
