12 days cocktail

Pear Comfort

Ice
2 ounces Whiskey liquor
2 ounces Pear nectar (see note)
1 tablespoon vanilla flavor
½ teaspoon cinnamon
2 dashes of bitters
Thinly sliced pear

Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add whiskey liquor, nectar, spices and bitters.

Cover and shake well for 30 seconds.

Strain into cocktail glasses and garnish with pear slices.

You can also put a dollop of whipped cream onto this drink!

NOTE: Pears are still readily available at your markets. If you want to have fresh nectar, put 2-3 peeled, cored pears into a food processor and puree. Placepurée into a fine sieve lined with a coffee filter. Place sieve over a bowl and leave overnight in the fridge. The day of your holiday party will find you with fresh pear nectar!
